Site Criteria Criminal Filters

As determined by the location of a rental property and governing policies, criminal reports may not be returned. The factors involved are not determined by Intellirent, however, we have taken steps to align with our credit bureau partner TransUnion, and always recommend that a property owner check with their legal counsel for the best course of action.  

The following information outlines the locations in which criminal reports may be impacted.

Criminal reports are not available in the following locations: 

• Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, lowa, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Wyoming
• Seattle, WA

Criminal reports may be requested after a pre-qualification in the following location: 

• Cook County, IL

When a conditional approval is enabled, Intellirent provides an option to request additional background checks on an as-needed basis.
