Potential Credit & Background Errors on Returned Reports

TransUnion utilizes many different checks throughout the renter's application and identity verification process.

Examples of TransUnion identity checks within the application include, 

• Social Security Number
• Full Name
• Date of Birth
• Current and Prior Addresses

Dispute Process

Depending on the potential inaccuracy, once an applicant has contacted TransUnion and if they are able to successfully provide proof of inaccuracy, the TransUnion Consumer Dispute team will provide the applicant with a letter of resolution. The agent will also receive a letter mailed directly from TransUnion to the agent's Business Address provided during account creation: Where do I find my settings?

Most dispute investigations are completed within two weeks, but some may take up to 30 days.
